The track was a little slow. A fresh N.E. breeze; impeded competitors. There was an excellent-attendance, of; 3500 for .the evening meeting. CONFERENCE OF CENTRE DELEGATES. PROPOSED IMPORTATION OF COACH, CYCLING CHAMPIONS TO VISIT AUSTRALIA NEXT YEAR. At the conference of the centre delegates, hold this morning, a proposal to import a coach was considered, and it was resolved to make an inquiry as to the cost. An Otago remit- was carried that in future walking events be half a mile and one mile. • . .f A Wellington remit was carried establishing a standardised order for events for championships. The council’s recommendation that' an annual junior-championship meeting he held was defeated. It was decided that the age limit for juniors in track competitions be under 18 vears. at the day of the competition. At a subsequent conference of cvcl-ing delegates it was decided to take steps to send Grose and others ot sufficient form to Australia next season. The conference resolved that the suspensions of members of the union of cyclists be lifted on individual applications. It'. was resolved to appoint cycling sub-committees in all centres, and also that a three-day teams’ race over the Wellington course he held, provided throe centres are represented.
