Minor disturbances characterised Communist demonstrations in various cities in the United States and Canada during the International Unem. ploymcnt Day. Three thousand Reds, clashed with the police here, with only a few hurt. Boston, reported several arrests, when 250 police were engaged with several thousand disorderly Communist celebrants on the historic commons. Twenty-eight arrests were made in Pittsburgh, five in Dallas, Texas, four in Oklahoma City, and an undesignated number of distributors of Red lit. eratuie in Houston, Texas. Two police and a girl were injured in Toronto and a policeman in Scdbury, OntarioThe police prevented a riot in Ham. ilton, and broke up a parade in Port Arthur. Ordcrlv demonstrations were held, in Philadelphia, St. Louis, Kansas Citv and Denver.
