GATE TAKINGS DOUBLED

The annua! meeting of the Rnlcnuroa Sports Club, held on New 'i ear’s Day, proved a great success, which is indicated by the fact that the gate-takings were approximately double those of the previous year. The sports were held on Mr. R. C. Beaufoy’s property, an ideal on.ei tor the purpose, and the weather proved ideal. There was a slight falling off in the number of entries for the horse events, hut all other sections filled well and the performances were of a high standard. Detailed results are ns follows
