Ogg, the Wellington “crack,’’ in tjie mile flat, popular *ncal runner ’unwound a sprint such as,he has seldom been seen, to accomplish, opening up a gap with his opponent amid scenes of ,fhe . wildest excitement. There was an unexpected addition to the .ladies’ section *of the. programmes. Misses E. JYilliainson and J. Shorter were equal on points for both the, Te Ran Press and the Bray and Burt cups, so very sportingly agreed to settle the issue over 7,5 yards Miss iWilliamson winning on the tape in a. gruelling race. Gborge Hartley carried off the coveted Grant Downie Memorial Cup. Last night, at a dancci in the Ormond. hall, trophies were presented, and jollity held sway until a late hour.
