A most delicate situation , awaits the meeting of the League of Nations Council- on 19th January, as .the outcome of the* Polish' y disturbances ov«r tne German minorities-question. Germany has already despatched to the League three notes complaining that persons of German origin were deprived of votes. France, who is. Poland’s ally, favors an inquiry, hut thd'other. Powers consider that the League Council should give a decision on the evidence available without further delay.
