BANK HOLIDAYS
SPECIAL PRIVILEGES MAY BE GRANTED AT EASTER. (Special to the Times.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 21. An unusual strain wi 1 be placed upon the business community by the time of arrival of the Easter holidays’ this year, and jt- is understood that the Associated Banks are considering granting special privileges lor the banking of easli during that perlo<(jn April ibth (Good Friday) the banks will be closed. Monday, is usually a bank holiday, and Tuesday is' a special holiday as birthday ol the Princess Elizabeth, daughter of the Duke of York. Wednesday is St. George’s Day, another Bank holiday, aiid after opening on Thursday the banks will close again on Friday, which is Ansae Day. This mean--that. from Thursday to Thursday, the banks of the Dominion will be open for business only on the Saturday morning, April 19th.
