PEC ULI Alt AC CIDENT ORANGE (N.S.W.), Mar. 13. Richard Shrimpum, a resident of Autumn-street, mot with an accident under extraordinary circumstances. When motoring 14 miles out on the Cargo-road, h<j had occasion to change a tyre and having completed the task, thought he saw portion of the tube projecting. He touched it with a tile, which he had in hi? hand, and it immediately blew out, the full force of SOlbs air pressure striking him in the eyes. He was temporarily blinded, and the Orange ambulance immediately rushed him to hospital, where the service of a specialist was chained. Mr Shrimpton’s eves were full of grit and dust, ami the right one was So severely injured that it is not yet known whether the sight of ii can he preserved.
