At the big railway camp at Purewa to-day the Prime Minister analysed the United Party’s platform and said: that.fob chicanery and trickery .give him the United crowd! When outlining the Government’s policy ami dealing with land settlement, an intsrjector remarked that 13,01.0 men had- walked* off the farms in; tlie last four yehrs. . The Prime Minister - quoted the oxact position, pointing out that the Opposition had ignored the statement he had issued giving the correct details. As a matter of fact, he Isa id, there were more men on the land .“to-day than ever before in the Ristoiy of the Dominion. Concerning industrial legislation, the: Prime Minister said that the guiding spirit of the present day was conciliation and co-operation. Men and employers were preferring to get .together around the table for a friendly discussion of the whole position."
• A voice: “ What about the railway engine drivers ?” The Prime Minister: Hie Amalgamated 1 Society of Railway Servants were 'told that they could have the Arbitration Court to Settle their dispuTes, but they had said they would rather deal direct with the Minister of. Railways.
