ENGLISHMEN AT ROTORUA EASY WIN AGAINST LOCAL TEAM (Press Association.) ROTORUA, Nov. 7. The English tennis' team played exhibition games against local Maori and, pakeha players before a large gathering of the public.. Six matches were played, the Englishmen winning all without the loss of a s’et. Sparkling tennis.was- shown, the local players being outclassed by the brilliant visitors. A special" feature wad the exhibition doubles _ between Austin and Gregory and Higgs and Collins. In the singles Austin beat Janes 6—o/6 —2; Gregory beat E. Howell 6—o, G—2; Collins beat Ehau 6—l, 6—l; Higgs beat Turei 6—l, 6—o. In the doubles Austin and Gregory beat Jones -and Ehau, 6 2, 6—2; Higgs and Collins beat Ehau and Turei 6—l, 6—o.
