JARDINE—STOOK. : - V; - ’(By “Sally.”) A wedding of exceptional interest was . solemnised yesterday afternoon fit Holy Trinity Church, when Nancy Marion, younger daughter of Mr. and •Mrs. George Stock,, of Gisborne,' was married to Eduiuhd Basil, son of the late Miv and, Mrs. J. The.- church had been 'charmingly, decorated by friends of the bride, a delightful color scheme being.carried out in delicate shades of white ?uid gold. A Horn 1 arch composed of white wabsoHiitS,'. arum lilies, golden broom, Iceland poppies and feathery greenery, from which was suspended a white and gold wedding bell, forming a picturesque setting for the bridal group. ... The bride, in her exquisitely simple gown .of satin-backed crepe de chine, with a train of filmy tulle, entered the church on the arm of her father. The frock was fashioned with a semi-litting bodice with a V neck and long tight sleeves, and a flared skirt with an uneven hem line, caught at the hips with u sash tying at the back.

Posies of orange blossom ornamented the waist and shoulder, and her delicate veil of tulle and Brussels lace was caught over the ears witli pendants of orange blossom. Her very beautiful bouquet .of lilies of the valley and white roses was tied with satin streamers. The bridesmaids, Miss Lorna Holden, Miss Catherine AlcKae (VVairoa), Miss Phyllis Humphreys and Miss Aileen Ormond were , frocked alike in a lovely shade of primrose. The fitting sleeveless bodices of tatieta were finished with square cut yokes of silk net and the Hared skirts dipping at the back were composed of soft, silk net rubles over-lapping at one side and ornamented with trails of delphinium blue satin flowers and golden leaves, ~ Their hats of primrose silk straw were trimmed with velvet to match and they carried shower bouquets- of blue delphiniums and love-in-the-mist caught with tulle streamers.

The tiny train-bearer, Judith Muir (.niece of the bride) was very attractive in a charming little frock of ivory taffetas with a collar of net tied in front and a transparent hem edged with primrose and blue rosebuds, a narrow bandeau of delphinium blue encircling her head. Mr. Victor Lane (Wairoa) was best man, .and the groomsmen were Messrs Donald Thomas (Wairoa.), Humphrey Lay ley (Wairoa) and Arthur Stock (brother of the bride). The wedding breakfast was served in a large marquee picturesquely placed on the lawn, gav flower-beds forming a decorative background. The long tables . were artistically adorned ivith tall vases of Iceland poppies, and the three tiered Square cake was arranged on cl small table, in the centra of the marquee ornamented with slender'vases*of lovc-ui-tlie-vuist.

During the afternoon an orchestra played most delightfully. Dr. and Airs, Jardine left later, for ciieir honeymoon, the bride travelling in a charming frock of navy blue iiiid beige figured crepe de chine with . a ffared three-tiered skirt edged with a narrow kilting of beige. The bodice was finished With a kilted yoke arid a cape falling in graceful folds from the shoulders, and she Wore a smart hat to tone. < Airs. A. S. Afuir (sister of the bride) was wearing an attractive frock of jnde green georgette designed, with a full flared skirt, the A 7 ne'.k of the bodice being outlined with Oriental embroidery in golden tones, and her hat of goldeu straw was trimmed with velvet to match. Airs. Leonard Jardine (Strafford) was extremely elegant in black lace over apricot georgette and a t black straw hat trimmed with ciro ribbon and a diamante buckle.

Al'ss Nancy AVliitehead of the bride) wore a pretty frock of floral iiinon banded with scarlet, and a white hat with scarlet trimmings. Aliss Sheila Aluir (niece of the bride) was dainty in a frock of pink flowered voile with ruchings of pink and a hat to tone.
