LONDON n Oct. _p.__ . Rumors Have "beeii current-for- several days, following the expulsion of the National Union of Seamen from the Trades Union Congress, that the Transport and General Workers’ Union shortly will open a campaign for the organisation of marine workers. Trade union leaders are troubled, because there is now no organisation representing seamen affiliated to the Trade Union Congress General Council. The organisation committee is earnestly considering the whole oi the seamen’s question. Air. Cathery, acting-general secretary, says: “'lhe National Union of Seamen has been established for 40 years, and is recognised by important people in the shipping industry. Any other union that tries to organise the seamen will have something very big to tackle. Certainly, we will not take it lying down. \\ e will light anybody and everybody.”
