The president of the N.Z. Public Service Association announced at lasii night’s meeting of the Wellington section that Mr. Guy Morris, Official Assignee, Auckland, and Sir. A. S. Houston, Inspector of Offices', Agriculture Department. Wellington, had been selected by the Association as its nominees' on the Public Service Appeal Board.—P.A.

Howard Young, a member of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, is shortly to visit Great Britain and, according to a letter received by the Gisborne Chamber on Wednesday. would be calling upon severChambers of Commerce in Great Britain. MT.Young would be pleased. to bring' befpre These organisations the names of businesses in the v.-jr-ieus centres in New Zealand * and therefore a list of the members (with addresses) of the Gisborne Chamber was sought.—The Chamber decided to comply with this-'request - and to extend to Mr. Young the best wishes tor a pleasant and successful trip'.
Miss Norma 'Wilson, Poverty;Bay’s lady athletic champion, and New Zealand representative for Olympia, will lie tendered a. civic farewell at tjie Borough. Council Chambers vthis afternoon at ,2.30.
