Mr. Frederick Stubbs, F.R.G.S., left Christchurch on Thursday for an extended tour of the North Island.
Air. E. ,T. Erwin, of the Tokomaru Bay Post Office, has been transferred to the To Araroa Post Office.
■ Mr. AY. A. Reddell. of the Gisborne staff of Dalgety and Cb., has been promoted.to charge of the mercantile branch of the firm in Hastings.
At the last meeting of the Wellington City Council, it was decided to grant free tramway passes for life to the ex-May or s of the city. Those entitled to this very useful privilege are Sir Francis Bell, Sir John Luke, M.P.. the Hon. R. A. Wright M.P., and' Messrs’. A. De .B. Brandon, O. M. Luke, T. ,M.. Wilford M.P., D.
