LARGE ENTRY OF STORE SHEEP

There was a large attendance at the Alatawiiero sale yesterday. Hie entry of .store sheep again advanced in numbers, totalling 10,000. The range of prices was ns follows: 2-th ewes up to £1 2s 9d for a pen of 208, well-grown and in great condition. FEILDING YARDS. (Press Association.) FKIEDING, Feb. 10. At the Feilding stock sale to-day there was a large entry of beef and a big attendance of buyers. Close on l2,0t)0 sheep were yarded, consist.ng inanilv. of breeding ewes and store lambs'. Despite the absence of ram, most of the stock appeared in good condition, pens of good quality meeting with a keen demand. Bidding opened cautiously, but brightened as tlie sale advanced, and a good clearance was effected at rates on a par with lasi sale, January 27, when a sound market was experienced. Black face rape lambs were in demand. Prices ranged from 9s lOd to Es Go, black face woolly lambs 20s, white face mixed sex lambs from 8s 2d to 14s Gd, 5-yr ewes 20s Id, 4 and 6-tb to 5-vr ewes 21s Id, 2-tli ewes 27s Id. Only a small yarding of tat sheep was offered. Fat ewes made Es 4d to 20s Gd. while 25s 0d was paid for b.f. hoggets. One pen of tat lambs offered was passed, in at 245. A small yarding of cattle comprised mostly fat and store lines, and a few dairy stock, for which late rates were maintained. Several pens «f fat cattle were passed in, vendors reserves not being reached. Cows in milk found sales at £4 10s fo £G IGs, springing heitors €5 12s Od and Lit cows £5 ss, lat bullocks £lO 10s, Lit Shorthorn speved cows £7 and £B, store cows £3 12s Gd to £4 IGs.
