FRESH ORDER FOR. MOTH

PLANES.

LONDON, Dec. 30

An order for 20 of the latest twoseater Moth .tyne of aeroplane, fitted with 30 horse-power Cirrus _ 11. air-cooled engines, has been given to the de Co. by the Air Ministry. The machines will bo used by the Home Defence Air Force for the purpose of communication /between* aerodromes and military centres. These machines, which are in wide use by civilian flying clubs, have a top speed of . 102 miles per hour and a climbing speed of 85 miles an hour. Economv in petrol consumption will be effected by their employment on tours of inspection, and for other purposes of comintinicfttiori*. —British Official Wireless.
