WARATAHS’ T RIM PH ANT TOUR.
GLOUCESTER. BEATEN BV 13 POINTS TO 4.
(Received Jan. 1. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 1
At Rugby football the Waratahs defeated Gloucester by 13 to 4.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
LONDON; Dec. 31
In the first half Gloucester did most of the attacking, but, before the interval, the visitors secured a try, which was converted. In the Second half the Waratahs held the upper hand, playing without A. Tancred, who retired owing to injury to his shoulder,. Gloucester’s bad handling'was responsible for many missed chances. Nevertheless, they scored a dropped goal practically on time. The Waratahs showed more finish than their opponents. A feature of their game was fine backing up and the co-operation of the forwards in rushes.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
