WELLINGTON, Dee. 30. Tlte touring- Nomads commenced a match against a Wellington Colts team this morning. Nomads won the toss, mm bad all the better of matters, as the bowlers were handicapped by the greasy hall Cameron (Rangiti'kei) and Bunny (Wanganui College) gave the Nomads a good start by putting on 44 lor the first wicket when Cameron, who had scored 23 was caught hy Monkhduse off Btowne. (Christchurch) then helped Bunuv to add ICft for a 2nd wicket when Crystall who had contributed 6.9 whiohincltided a' sixer and ten fours, tell Ibw to Leyes. Talbot, who had scored 145 not-out against Wairarapa on Thursday, came next, and played a brilliant innings.
