LONDON BUTTER. AND CHEESE MARKETS.

(Received December 30, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 29. Butter is in a slightly better demand. Danish’ is quoted at 180 s; choicest salted New Zealand 160 s to 1625, exceptional MG3s, Australian, 156 s to 160 s; unsalteds unchanged. The cheese market is firm. New Zealand is quoted at 92s to 93s.—A. and N.Z.C.A.

BRADFORD MARKET

(Received December 30, 5.5 p.m.), LONDON, Dec. 29. At the Bradford market crossbreds are unchanged. Merinos are slightly improved in tone, but business is small. Sixty-fours are quoted at Kl.ld. 60’s at 48d, 56’s at 38 kl, 50’s at 281 d, 46-s at 24d, 40's at 224 d A. and N.Z.C.A.

FRENCH BANK RATE REDUCED

Butter. —Market steady but quiet. Quotations arc: Danish butter, ISOs to 182 s per ewt. ; N.Z. finest salted, 160 sto 1625; Australian finest, unsalted 164 s to 166, salted 156 s to 160 s.

Cheese. —Market, more enquiry. Quotations are: N.Z., white 90s to 92s per cwt., colored 90s to 925; Canadian, ivliite 98s to 102s*, colored 98s to 102 s.

MAIZE MARKET

Not much maize has arrived during the week, states tlio Auckland Herald, and the latest consignments realised os 9cl on the wharf in wholesale lines. There was no difficulty in placing all that arrived, but business ex store is not very active, a natural result of the warm weather.
