NUISANCE TO DEV ICRY STREET

‘‘Complaints have boon received from residents in Devcry Street that certain householders in Stout Street and Ormond Road* discharge thenwaste water into the road drain in Devcry vvtibct, thereby causing a nuisance,'’ according to a report by the Sanitary Inspector to the Borough Council last evening. “i have sent a final notice asking that the nuisance,” proceeded a report by i;resent noth.ng has been done, anu the condition of the drain is a menace to health,, and is contrary to by-law No. 1, section 111. Apparently there is some dAficulty in disposing of Lull water in this locality in the manner adopted in the other areas where there is no sewage system, and the residents concerned have suggested that the Borough Council might consider whether an oxtons on or the sewer main is possible from the old borough boundary to Devcry Street, or even to Sheridan street, and if this is practicable they are prepared to confer with the Council. on the question of ways and means of financing tins construction. The inspection committee was deputed' to inspect the locality in company with the engineer and- report tin the next meeting.
