HEART FAILURE UNDER ANAESTHETIC. NEWLY MARRIED WOMAN'S END. , NAPIER, Dee. 2. Ait the inquest in Napier to-day on. Catherine Gertrude Mackintosh, who was recently married, tlie coroner returned a verdict, of heart failure whilst under an anaesthetic, the conditions being rendered worse by prior loss of blood due to haemorrhage. An operation was considered essential to complete abortion commenced by deceased.—P.A. ' MOTOR-CYCLIST’S HEAD-ON CODLISJON. UNE MAN DEAD, THE OTHER. UNCONSCIOUS. , TE AWAMUTU; Dec. 2. A fatal accident occurred about 19 o’clock last night on the Te Raliu road, two miles from,, Te Awamutu. Erie Storey, 23, a son of Mr A. H. Storey, a district farmer, and Nelson Jackson, about the same age. a farm hand employed by Air 11. Focke,. were both riding motor cycles. They apparently met in a head-on collision. When found about half-an-liour later both were unconscious lying on the road some yards apart. Storey was under his machine, which was smouldering. Help was quickly sent for, and as both were terribly- injured they were removed to Waikato Hospital. Jackson died practically cn arrival, and Storey is still unconscious.—P.A. .) KNOCKED DOWN BY ’BUS MAN DIES' FROM INJURIES. PALMERSTON N., Dec. 2. . The death occuiTed in hospital this evening of J. B-rosnan, .who was discovered unconscious at Bunny thorpe in the early* hours of Thursday s morning, suffering from concussion, tlie result of being knocked down by a motor ’bus..
