MRS. GILL'S OPEN CHALLENGE TO EITHER, SEX

Miss Gleitze did not start on her Channel swim, owing to adverse wiuds. A bust of officials, newspapermen, photographers, and two doctors were waiting to accompany her.
It is likely to be one of the mostcrowded and spectacular Chauucl swims. Another outcome, of Dr Logairs hoax is that supporters ot Mrs Gill, who swam, the Channel on October 14, have issued an open challenge to all long-distance swimmers of either sex for a Channel race, the winner to bo the first to land in the event oi the full distance being covered, or. if this is imposible, __ the one who •swrrnwrrcurest — •truthN.Z.C.A.
