DISOBEDIENT CREW
MEN REFUSE TO RETURN

Twenty-two members of tho crew of the steamer Hurumii were charged at--Newcastle with refusing’ to obey the lawful command; of the captain. Each was sentenced to imprisonment till the rising of J . the court, and ordered to forfeit two days’ pay. - The captain stated in eviueuce thsb the crew complained of the chief ...engineer, and stated that they would nob go to sea with him, a 3 he caused a number of them to be logged. Before passing sentence the magistrate asked tte men if they would return to tlie Hm-unui. The men -refused, and the vessel is still held up.—U.P.A. •.':Lb/ Ay-’ ;• -
