IS. ’ It is now announced that tho meeting at Mansion House will be followby a large conference of captains of industry and trade unions representatives, and that Sir Alfred Mond probably will preside. it is'hoped that an exchange, of views at the conference may result in some steps being taken towards establishing the suggested league of industrial peace. : It is now understood that . Sir Josiah Stamp, president of the London, Midland, and Scottish Railway, whose plea for co-operation has led to several important conferences between railway trade union leaders and those engaged in directing the railway policy, will attend.
