AXGLO-AUSTItALLAN STATION. OPENS ON FRIDAY. (United Press Assn.—Copyright.) LONDON, April G. The Anglo-Australian beam wireless service will be opened for public traffic on Friday- morning. The new service places London in direct communication with Melbourne. At the outset it will be available onlv for telegrams to and from Australia at rates varying from Is Sd per word for ordinary telegrams, to 6d per word for deferred daily, and 5d for week-end letter telegrams. Ordinary press messages are to be carried at 4d, and deferred press messages at 3d per word.—British Official Wireless.
