TARANAKI FARMERS' VIEWS
HAAVERA, April 5. At a meeting held to-day, -called, by the Federation of the Taranaki Co-op Dairy Companies, which, was attended by Messrs T. A. Minks, J. R. Corrigan, H. D. Forsyth, members of the Dairy Produce Board, and 300 factory suppliers, the following resolution was passed: that this meeting of Taranaki dairy producers wishes to revert to the free control conditions, as far as the marketing of New Zealand dairy produce is concerned, being satisfied that the true function of the board should be restricted to arrangements for shipping _ and_ insurance, covering the care of all New Zealand produce. An amendment asking for the elimination of the board was defeated on the voices.—P.A.
