PALMERSTON N., Oct. IP The fourth Manawatu Jersey Show and sale was held to-day, 77 animals, from the Manawatu and Horowhenua Jersey Clubs coming forward. Bulls showing quality were in good demand, but poorer animals were neglected. There was a keen demand for heifers. R. Li. Horn, Levin, had an entry ot 16 animals, which averaged £bß apiece. The top price for the \gale was obtained for the heifer' Kuku Countess, lCOgns., which was bought by Wright, Stephenson and Co., for export. A heifer by the same breeder, Ivuku Nella, realised 97gns., and was purchased by A. J. Smith (Otorohanga) and the bull Kuku Bright Owl was bought by A. Mitchell (Longlmrn) fot lOOgns. J. Smith, jump, obtained the top price for a bull, bo7gns., which was bought by Wright Stephenson and Co.—P.A.
