MOTOR CRASH
SERIOUS ACCIDENTS AT AUCKLAND. WOMAN’S CONDITION SERIOUS. THREE CHILDREN IN HOSPITAL. AUCKLAND, Jan. 20. A collision occurred between a motor car and a motor lorry at the corner of Edendale road and Burniay Terrace. Miss V. Shanks, a passenger by the car, was thrown from her seat to the roadway and sustained a compound fracture of the -Lull. Her condition is serious. s On the Great North 'Road on .Sun"day afternoon a motor bus, driven by L. McCarten, and an ice cream van driven by T. A. New'ton, collided. ! Both vehicles overturned. Eight passengers were taken to hospital, but four of these went homo after treatment. Three ''nibhen and one man remain in hospital. Lis Moore, 9, suffered a fracture of the right arm; Thelma Moore, 12, a fracture of the left arm - Ereda Pennycrook, 11, laceration of the left foot; Raymond Edgar, laceration f the left foot.—P.A.
