FIREWORKS DISPLAY
AT OVAL ON FRIDAY NIGHT,
Much interest has been created by the announcement that a large display of fireworks is to he given on the Crircket Ground next Friday evening by the Wainoni Park Fireworks' Co. A brilliant display of pyrotechnics is probably the most popular open air entertainment in existence. It's great appeal is not only to the jhvenile element exclusively, but the elder generation also are- not slow thoroughly to appreciate the many quaint novelties which are to be seen at a good display. The Wainoni Park Company ar& noted for their fine displays. They have for many years been before the public and have achieved a fine reputation. The display to be given on Friday evening will bo of the same high standard as those seen in the larger centres, and will include the latest novelties \in pyrotechnics. Brilliant set pieces on large frames will be shown in various designs, and emitting showers of golden rain and multi-colored stars. Revolving sets such as rainbow wheels, fountains and chromatropes are amongst the mechanical novelties; while batteries of Roman candles. Prince of AVales feathers, and bouquets of fiery gems also will be. seen. A liberal_ supply of rockets and aerial shells will also bo sent skywards.
