CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. . Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting was concluded to-day. The weather at the outset was dull and threatening, but cleared later in tho day. The track was fast. The totalisator investments were £35,315, making £71,493 for the meeting, as against £80,560' last year. Following are the results :—. Progressive Handicap.—2 Young Carbine (A. The Westland Trotting Club’s meeting was held to-day in perfect weather. The course was in good order, but it was dusty. The attendance was fair. The totalisator handled £6569, as against £7965 last year. Following are the results: District Handicap.—Miss Chancellor 1, Prince Mac 2, Miss Terry 3. Also started: Marion Junior, Tekarere and Merry Logan. Won by half ahead. Time: 3min 43 4-sscc.
Karieri Handicap.—Yny’s Joy 1, Miss Louie 2, Kanieri 3. Also started: Dorrie Thorpe, Glide and Eruption. AA 7 on by a length. Time : 2min 27sec.
