FRUIT AND CONFECTIONERY SHOP GUTTED.
OAMARU, Jan. 3. Fire at an early hour on Saturday morning gutted a fruit and confectionery shop occupied by Mrs. Regina Huddleston and owned by Mr. William J. Clark. The stock which was insured in the United Office for £ooo was valued at £7OO. . A pianola wjich was also lost, was insured foi £IBo with the Bristol Piano Company The building was valued at £liM) and was insured with the Yorkshire Office for £6OO. The damage to the building •is estimated at £450- P-A.
