SIR E. RUTHERFORD IMPRESSED

(Special to the Times.) ' WELLINGTON, Oct. 26.. Sir Ernest Rutherford is much impressed with the incroase and the improvement in New Zealand agriculture. His last visit to the Dominion was eleven -years-" ago, when the milking umpebh%WM£Ajust coming in. The growth' of 'Auckland, Hamilton, and New Plymouth impressed itself, -as did also the great improvements on the main roads. He was also much impressed with the Arapujii project, which, when completed, will rank in importance with some of the biggest power stations in tiie world. “It is a sign of the progress of the Dominion,” he said, “that such large works can he undertaken even before it is possible to use the full supply of power from the station. No doubt this power scheme will ultimately prove of great.value to New Zealand, and it is interesting to see that your Government is .so progressive in providing electricity.” ' ; -
