OUTBREAK IN CLOTHIERS SHOP.

FAHIATUA, July 31. An outbreak of fire was discovered in the ceiling of Victor Levy’s shop (clothier and fancy goods) last evening. It is situated in the centre of a small block, belonging to Mrs M. A. Burge (England). The stock suffered to some extent by water and smoke, a quantity being destroyed. The insurances on the stock total £1001) odd, in the Guardian office. The adjoining premises, also dental clinic rooms, were affected by smoke and water, and a wall was a little charred. Many of the dental goods were removed to safety. A Chinese greengrocer, Y. C. Young, in the same building, discovered the outbreak. His stock suffered no damage.
