RIVER RISES 48 FEET
ANXIETY OVER HANKOW
(Received July 31, 12.35 a.m.) * PEKIN, July 30. The level of the river Hankow has reached 48ft., the highest point in 35 years. Continuous pumping of the drains has kept the concession from flooding, but with a further rise a flood is unpreventible.—Reuter.
