An acquisition to the shopping centre of Gisborne is the establishment of a new butchery in Gladstone Eoacl by Mr James Eckfcrd, who was connected with the Ifresli Meat Market when it was first formed.
Mr Eckfcrd has now taken over Mr Lauren son’s pork butchery- business, and is catering for everything in the meat line. In addition to the customary regular supplies cf fresh meat, such as beef, mutton, lamb, and pork, he will also maintain a regular supply of clean and fresh small goods and cooked meat. It is surprising how tasteful a piece- of meat appears, when cooked and dressed by skilled tradesmen. and the quality of everything is assured by the fact that only specially selected stock is bought. Mr Eckford’s window is stocked with all kinds of dainty- dishes, and by carefully studying the tastes of the public be will doubtless add greatly to the large number of customers who already- patronise his shop.*,* .
