The North Camberwell by-election, vice Captain Newton Knight (Coalition Unionist) resigned, resulted: Ammon (Labor) 7864. Miller (Unionist) 6317.—A. and N.Z.C.A. (Received Feb. 21. S.LO p.m.) LONDON, Fell. 10.
Ammon is the official representative of the Postal Workers’ Union. He declares the factor of his victory was the i working class alarm at Sir Eric Geddes educational proposals and the • fear that scholarships would cease to he available to workers’ children—A. and N.Z.C.A.
