JAPANESE PROPOSALS.
TWENTY FOUR SHIPS TO BE SCRAPPED.
TOKIO, Feb. 20. Tlie Naval Ministry has. announced plans to scrap twenty-four ships of the Japanese navy, including ten obsolete cruisers, six Hattie cruisers and eight capital ships for which keels have not yet been laid.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
