“ LIVING LONDON.”

TO-MORROW AT EVERYBODY’S

Gisborne motion-picture devotees, in common with all British theatregoers, desire and appreciate British films ,and a magnificent screen production with London as the venue of its acts and scenes, will be screened to-morrow at Everybody’s. It is entitled “ Living London.” London, the wonder city of the world, has for centuries exercised a remarkable fascination for mankind. Thousands of New Zealanders claim England as the land of then- birth, and thousands of Dominion-born people hope some day to visit the city of which they have heard so much. Not only are 'the historic, industrial, and social sides of the metropolis shown, but also portrayals of the lives of the millions of London’s inhabitants. By medium of the picture, mighty, throbbing London, with its grandeur and gaiety, its palaces and poverty, its historic buildings, its fashions and furbelows, its crowded highways and its exquisite beauty spots, is brought before the eyes of the audience in a very vivid manner. Some of the most exciting scenes and beautiful settings ever screened are shown in Marshal Neilan’s latest feature “The Liver’s End,” on the same bill. The picture is set m the far North regions of Canada. In this picture the work and ideals of the North-west Mounted Police are vividly brought home by the manner in which Lewis Stone plays the dual role of Keith the hunted, and Con Ulster the hunter. The picture is powerful, exciting and full of dramatic situations. Marjory Daw and Jane Novak are the feminine stars of this constellation of artists. Also, on the same sterling New Year bill, are the tenth episode of “Smashing Barriers” serial, and numerous other supports. To book at Miller’s Corner ensures combining comfort with the best of entertainment.
