CLARA KIMBALL YOUNG IN “THE FORBIDDEN WOMAN”
TO-MORROW
To he finally screened to-night is “The Daughter Pays,” a forceful drama, with . Elaine Hamlnerstcin in the character of the daughter. A man who lias been jilted broods over the wrong for many years, and becoming wealthy seeks a mercenary match with the ■ sweet daughter of the. woman,'now a widow, who had rejected him. The jjirl, through force of straitened circumstances, marries him, and he sets out making her life a misery, but gradually he realises his own wrong-head-ed ness, and after trials and experiences, there is a happy ending. “Neglected AVive.s” is an adaptation from “Why Women Sin,” with Anno Luther as the star, and is a fascinating, -appealing drama concerning the neglected wife of a wealthy man. “The Forbidden Woman,” featurmnr Clara Kimball Young, heads tomorrow’s offerings. “Tile Forbidden Woman” is one of the mest sumptuous productions ever screened. It is a magnificent picture of costly gowns, lavish settings, and lovely scenery, it is the story of a French artist, Diane Sorel, whose great beauty and charm brought her many ardent admirers. Perfect production and characterisation are only two features of this absorbing picture, which gives Clara Kimball Young many opporfunities of displaying her talents for emotional roles and for wonderful sartorial creations. Great interest will also centre in the presentation of Episode 2 cf the “Silent Avenger” serial, while lighter fare will be provided by a laughable comedy, “Don’t Blame the Stork,” and other attractions.
