The Tuatea left the wharf at 2 p.m. on Saturday with outward passengers, the early departure being necessitated by tidal conditions, but the Mararoa did not arrive from Napier until 4.15 p.m. The launch returned from, the vessel to the town wharf about 7 p.m. with a large number of inward passengers and title steamer proceeded at 6 30 p.m. to Auckland, via Tokomaru Bay. The ketches Huanui and Elsie Mary are awaiting a -favorable wind to set sail for Auckland. The War Lord is at Auckland and is expected to load at that port to-day for Gisborne. Loading of the liner Port; Napier is expected to be completed about Friday. The Maroro is expected to complete loading for Sydney early this week. The Kamona is scheduled to load coal at Greymouth to-day for Gisborne. The Tiroa arrived on Saturday morning from Lemestone Island with 116 tons of cement to discharge at this port. The Putiki arrived ’in the Bay on Friday night and attempted to set intp the river about 11.30 p.m. Owing, however, to the state of the .tide, she stuck and had to back out again to the- roadstead until 10.50 a.m. on Saturday. After discharging a full load of Wellington cargo and loading for the Southern port, she sailed in the evening for the south. The steamer is exerted to return to Gisborne about Friday from Wellington with general cargo.
