The New Zealand Loan and .Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report having held their weekly live stock sale at the Matawhero Yards on Wednesday, when a small yarding was submitted to a moderate attendance. Very slack bidding was the- ordlr of the day, and practically no store sheep were sold, beef sold up to recent sale rates, and young steers also met with fair demand; other’’classes of store, cattle were easy. :Oui* yarding included'Bo3 sheep’, of which number 105 .sold; 113 head of cattle, 7 4spld; 23 jugs; 14 sold. The following prices w.Cre realised during the day.—Eat ewes 24s fid; fat lambs 22>; low conditioned ewes 17s fid; cull ewes 17s fid; fat steers £l2 10s; fat cows £ll t.o £l2 ss; light cows £9 17$, fid I/O £lO 10s; forward cows £8 to £9 ; 18-mos. steers £G ss; <yearling steers '£4 lOs* to £5; cows with calves £9 ss ; dairy i heifers, springers £ll, Pigs: baconers £4 17s fid; wean ers 31s to -365.
