THE WEATHER.
Mr Pemberton’s forecast, is as follows: Present indications are for moderate to strong south-east winds northwards of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura. variable breezes with southerlies ruling elsewhere. Fair weather may be expected generally, but cloudy and unsettled at times' in the northern and East Coast districts of the North Island. The barometer shows little movement.
