FARMER-LABOR PARTY IN THE FIELD.

UTAH LAWYER NOMINATED

(Received July 18, 5.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, July 15. Chicago reports a third party in the Presidential contest, to he known as the Farmer-Labor party. It has nominated Mr Parley Christensen, ia lawyer of Utah, for president, and Mr Max Hayes, Labor leader, for Vice-President. Mr Christensen announced that he would retire in favor of Mr La Follette if the latter would consent to assume nomination. La Follette had telegraphed the convention that, he would not run on a ticket if nominated. "A strong faction comprising the original founders of the third party movement are very dissatisfied with the platform and the candidates, and may organise their own party, candidates and platform.—A. and N.Z.C.A.
