REPORTED ARRIVAL 01 LEADER IN SIBERIA. United Press Association—''•m'/ruthtCHRISTIANIA. April 23. Capt. Amundsen's brother lias received a message from Nome, Alaska, that Captain Amundsen is returning at the end of July.—A. and N.Z. Cable Assn. (Received April 25, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 23. The Christiania correspondent says that Dr. Nansen suggests that Captain Amundsen is returning’ in order to renew his scanty store of provisions. He may possibly re-start for the Pole from Barrow. It is unlikely his drift from there will he completed under five years.—Times. VANCOUVER. April 23. A wireless message from Anadio, Siberia, announces that Captain Amundsen arrived there. It was reported from Christiania on March 26 that Amundsen was making a dash for. the pole and had left his ship Maude for the dash across the polar icefields. The Maude’s equipment includes two aeroplanes which Captain Amundsen proposed to use if practicable. Reports from the Maude, however, indicate that she might be expected at that portion of the Siberian coast to which Anadio is the nearest civilised outpost.—Reuter.
