THE WEATHER.
Mr Pemberton’s forecast is as follows: Present indications are for southerly breezes, backing to freshening northerly northwards of Kawhia and East Cape, and moderate to strong westerly to northerly wind increasing elsewhere. Weather fair generally, but skies clouding over and unsettled conditions following shortly, especially southward of New Plymouth and Castlepoint. The barometer should fall in the south soon. *
