MR LYSNAR AND HIS ADDRESS
(To the Editor.) Sir, —In company with a few newchums to this electorate. I went along to hear Mr Lysnar’s speech on wednesday night, to hear something out ot \he ordinary, hut was far from being enlightened. H "as full of glaring inaccuracies and consisted mostly or a wail against the sins ot Ward, chief of which was the fact that lie (Maid) had taxed the stay-at-homes too heavily and had the audacity to have a surplus of £15,000 000, with whicn 1 e proposed to pay off a part of the Mai p e bt. Mr Lysnar was very indignant about it, and said posterity should pa> all the war debt-what a soothing doctrine for the profiteers! not understand Mr Lysnar s attitude on this matter. Surely it could not have impoverished him personally, as I see lie has purchased a further 3.000 acres of land! The average fnrmor seems to be doing anient. In, M hear of many bankruptcies amongst theiu° Perhaps Mr Lysnar will explain who he thinks has been over-taxed ?-I am, Yours etc.,
