Everybody's change of programme today promises to be of a most emtertaining kind. Mollie King as the star in the “Double Cross’'’ serial has played many parts, and had varied adventures. She is now, in addition to being one of the foremost musical comedy stars in America, a star in her own right on the screen, and the Screencraft drama, “Suspense,” showing today, is her first offering of a five reel drama. In the picture Mollie King justifies her right to stardom, and gives a thoroughly convincing and appealing charaeterisaton of the young girl who attempts to clear her father’s name by pitting herself against a band of unscrupulous German rascals. Intense action is rife throughout the film and many exciting situations are disclosed ere the mystery is finally cleared up. Dads, Mums, and all the Hayseeds are also due to arrive at Everybody’s to-day. per medium of Beaumont Smith’s latest movie production, depicting life on a way-back selection. This is the first appearance of those country friends on the screen, although their facsimiles have been seen on trie legitimate stage. THE PALACE. The mid-week change at the Palace Theatre contains a programme of much interest. The Fox super-star, George Walsh, in his latest thrilling stunts undera telling title “Brave and Bold” is supported by a Sunshine comedy “His Musical,Sneeze,” and other items. The opening scenes of the Fox film shows Robert Booth (George Walsh) associated with a big business firm, which is after a large contract. A rival firm, of which Chester _ Firkins is the unscrupulous head, is after the same contract. Through the treachery of an employee, the rival firm is furnished with the specifications and bid. Booth is to meet the representative who is to award the contract at 4.10 o’clock on Friday. As Booth has arranged to marry Hope Hunnevwell (Regina Quinn) on the same day, he wires her to meet him at an hotel and sets out for the city, and then the fun starts. The Sunshine comedy. “His Musical Sneeze,” is of exceptional merit, and the full sunportins items are excellent. Book at Muir’s.
