At the Police Court to-day Thomas i’adraic Cummins and Albert- James Orytn were convicted 'on a charge ot publishing in a monthly publication called the Green Ray a seditious utterance with intent to. incite disaffection against the United Kingdom and encourage the-commission in the United Kingdom of an offence prejudicial to the public safely m respect to the present war—to wit, the crime of treason by levying war against His Alajestv, contrary to the War Regulations. Each was sentenced to 12 months luird labor. , r in. reply to accused’ counsel (Mr Dolan, of Napfer). the Alagistrate said lie was prepared to state a/case fqr anneal. ■
