AYAIPIRO BAY
AY AIP mo BAY. Alay 19. A general meeting called by tlie Patriotic Social Committee was held on 16th inst.. and a new committee consisting of the following ladies and gentlemen was elected: —Miss Boyce; Mesdam'es Bradley, Chalmers, e raser; Messrs Fraser, Nadcn, AY. Peed and Sheen. Air Sheen was re-elected secretary. A credit balance of £1 lbs lOd was shown, to which is added the sum of £ll Ss 3d presented by Air Tuckwell, being the proceeds of the last social held. This money it was decided to keep as a reserve fund for future “Farewell Socials.”
The local subscription for the Church Army reached the handsome total of £229 2s sd. An endeavor is being made by the AYaipiro church district- to pay off the debt of the district: and the various parts of the parish have been apportioned respective portions of the debt. AYaipiro Bay has already raised £l7 out of the £25 apportioned, i Acting-Matron Beatson and Nurse Allan, of the AYaipiro Hospital, have resigned, and Matron Gubb is now in charge. Acting-Matron Beatson had served three years, and Nurse Allan five years in the local hospital.
