REMAINS IN FLANDERS AND FRANCE.

Mr. Baker, Secretary for War, in his weekly statement to the press, emphasised the fact that the principal battle-front remains in Flanders and France.* “There,” he said, “our forces are fighting.”' Tlie evacuation of Werder Peninsula is taken to mean that the Germans do not contemplate a further advance towards Petrograd at present.
