MANCHU DYNASTY RESTORED
MARTIAL LAAV IN OPERATION. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. PEKING, July 2. Martial law prevails. A proclamation restoring the cx-Emperor is expected to-day. LONDON, July 2. It is reported that the ex-Emperor Hsuan Tung, deposed in 1912, promulgated th© announcement that he had succeeded to the throne.

The State Department, has received despatches reporting that thejQhinese monarchists have dislodged the President, Li Yuan Lung. General Chang Shung has declared bimself Dictator, and intends to restore Hsuan Tung to the throne.
United Service. (Received July 3, 8.5 p.m.) LONDON, July 2. ' The restoration of the Mahchu dynasty is accepted placidly. The- troops concentrated round-the forbidden city and lined the streets. The military party at Peking and the majority of the northern Governments support the change.
